This is an image of a basic ball with two lights on it.
One light is in the back left while the other is in the front right and the make the ball have a soft shadow and the surface below has roughly 3 harsher shadows.
This was to understand the basics of lighting in Maya. Such as how to create and angle the lights but also make them softer or harsher based on preference.
